Working Principle

The ZSW Grizzly Feeder uses an eccentric shaft vibrator mechanism driven by an electric motor through V-belts. The vibrator generates a powerful linear vibration that conveys material along the feeder trough. Fines and undersize material fall through the adjustable grizzly bars at the discharge end, bypassing the primary crusher. Oversize material is fed directly into the crusher, with the grizzly section ensuring only material requiring crushing enters the crusher chamber. This pre-screening function increases total plant capacity by 15-30%.
